Looking for member to form a team for a new studio
Hello, lovely people. My name is not important, because right now I want to focus on you.
See, I'll give a little about myself and what my goals are, but the real stars of the show are all of you reading. I'm merely a single guy in his room absolutely trying to overwork himself on a project. But you guys have the power to change that by joining the team.
Long story short, I'm looking for people to form a team with for a pitch proposal to Shueisha Games.
I've been working on my projects alone, but considering that I'm one person with a lot of other responsibilities as well, there's a high risk of burnout. Any creative knows just how frustrating that is.
While I have a few projects in mind, the one that I'm currently working on is...I don't really know what to call it honestly.
Basically, it's a game about teenagers with special talents and abilities trapped on an island. I know, not the most interesting way to put it.
While I wish that I could go on about the story, the real plan I have is the seamless play between mechanics and narrative.
It's a visual novel RPG hybrid, so it has all the lovely stuff that a visual novel has and the fun replayability of an RPG. Not to talk of the planned systems.
There's a lot, so I'll only talk about what I've been able to accomplish on my own. Considering that I just started learning how to code, especially in this particular engine, it's terribly simple. I have made a series of connecting braches and changing dialogue based on the choices the player makes. I know, that's the barebones of any visual novel.
I'm not really doing myself any favors here, am I? Well, I hope you can see why I need a team. I'm a good story writer, but my experience in most other fields isn't that great.
Anyway, I'm not really looking for hyper experience. Just good enough to have something decent to present. Still, I will have a few questions to see if we can form a good partnership. Considering that, I'll be willing to answer any questions that you might have as well.
If we could be a good team, we could move our discussions to Discord.
I don't really have a window in my mind, but I am planning to keep on working on the project regardless. After all, the news article for that pitch came out the same day that I started working on this. I don't really get opportunities like these, so I want to really try to take it.
I'd love to find others to work with as well. After all, I could at the very least get a chance to talk to new people.
So, how badly did I fail to get you interested? Are you even still reading? If so, I'd love the chance to work with you. The question is, are you willing to take the chance to work with me?
You can tell from the job openings that I picked that I have no idea what I'm doing. So there's really no need to feel like you have to be a pro or something. Just be fun.
The actual pitch for the game.
A sprawling narrative about Zero, an orphan from the lower central getting into the honorable Prestige Academy due to their unrealistic luck. Unfortunately for them, they find themselves trapped in a survival game arranged by a mastermind who seeks to find the limits of their luck.
On this adventure to complete zones to earn their escape, Zero will build relationships with the other characters, unlock mysterious dreams of their time in the academy, learn and train different talents and abilities, unlock achievements that reward them with traits and bonuses to different dice rolls for skills, but most importantly, they get a chance to test the boundaries of reality with the crazy luck.
Will their luck be able to get everyone through this safe and sound, or will this game prove to them the limits of their fortune?
